Preparation of Final Accounts for Projects

The Quantity Surveyors duties end with the calculations of the final cost. This is achieved by preparing a final account for the work in which the contract sum is adjusted in accordance with the terms of the contract to take account of any variations, of adjustments in the accounts of nominated-contractors and suppliers and of any other matter for which the contracts allow. The final account is agreed with the contractor and provides a fair and equitable settlement in accordance with the contract. The Quantity Surveyor will also prepare any analysis of the final account which the client may require.
